Sony MDR-7506 headphones new ear pads
Resurrecting my Sony MDR-7506 headphones with new ear pads. I don’t have a photo of their condition before removal, but they were shot … All the vinyl was missing and we were down to exposed cloth-like stuff … Once I removed the old pads, here’s what the headphones looked like.

DIY Subkick
All the parts have been ordered and are on their way … a Pearl Export 10×8″ tom … dual 10″ mesh heads … a 6.5″ sub-woofer, foam, XLR, etc … Just a few more parts to get and then assembly will begin … Can’t wait to try it out … My main concern is the padding … Some seemed to have needed it while others don’t mention it at all …

My brother Tom told me about this guy (EIan Thomas) that recorded with a bunch of names that I would like to drop but I won’t. I just told him that I would like to record him for a sample song on this web site. He recorded this song in Nashville and I knew I could do a better job of it so we had a few whacks at it. After about 20 mixes, I think we got it pretty close.
UPDATE: Thursday August 8th, 2013; Mr. Thomas passed unexpectedly.
